Rhythm in the streets... with De'Pasion

Basically how my day started. It didn't really started a good day. Some personal troubles but i'd have to handle it myself.

My initial plan for today didn't take place too. So since i had no plans, i decided to go and catch Rhythm De'Pasion busk @ town. I met up with Faizal & Wan first before going to Haiyul's place. I sat through their practice session. The RDP bus came @ 4.30pm. It was raining then.

When we reached town, the rain was still kinda pouring. Quite a few of Beats Encore people came down to support RDP. When our fellow friends perform, thats what we do. Support.

1st & 2nd set @ Wheelock Place.

3rd & 4th set @ Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City.

Seriously, these guys are full and packed with energy. Sometimes you just even wonder where they get their energy from. Busking for a few hours, with minimal amount of intervals.

Thanks to Husain and the guys, for letting me play a song with you all. It was fun, and it really helped me put away all the thoughts. Music drowns me away the best.

A Chocolateeeee Evening!

Its SUNDAY and i don't have any plans. Actually i wanted to go out to buy something. In fact i wanted to get some casual present for a friend. I was wondering who to ask along. Suddenly i just decided to dial Fad's cell.

I asked her if she had any plans for the day. She said she didn't. And so, i asked her if she wanted to go out. Besides, its been a while since the last time we went out together. (Remember the Orange Julius Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard? She was the one who introduced me to it. Oh, and not forgetting the Fried Mars Bar.)

Initially we planned to meet at 3.30pm but since she needed to do something first, we met at 5pm.

We headed down to Marina Square. We sort of went window shopping. Hahaz. Let me tell you, we saw this digital clock. It looked so cool, especially the one with the GREEN leds. Don't be surprise if next time, what i have in my house, she also have in hers. ESPECIALLY the big BEAN BAG! Oh, and also this old school "railway station clock". If you know what i mean. AWESOME i tell you.

Then i told Fad that i wanted to eat Ice-Cream. She also felt like having it so we go jalan-jalan first. This time @ Suntec City. Actually, we went there coz she wanted to check out Cotton On and Ben & Jerry's, but sadly, Ben & Jerry's ain't there anymore. So we decided to go to Andersen's Ice-Cream instead. Before that, we went to POP-CORN. I saw this cool THE DARK KNIGHT poster. Its a rare poster of the movie. I heard from the salesguy, its also quite rare in the States. But not time to buy. I helped her pick an Audrey Hepburn poster. Very pop-art style. Its a poster of "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Super dope ah.

Next... to ANDERSEN's.

We ordered a "couple-set CHOCOLATE FONDUE". Lerr... nak step couple lah pulak. Couplekk ader ah. But then, its SEDAPPPPP ah!!!! Its my first time eating Chocolate Fondue. One thing about going out with Fad is that she always got new nice food to let me try. But its super nice. You should see the way she ate the fondue. This one cannot tell, hahaz. But all i can say is, it was DISASTROUS. Muahahahaz. Chocolate dripping, strawberry stuck in chocolate and many more. But very funny ah. And i cannot take it when i wanted to dip the kiwi in the chocolate. This was what she said...

"EH... BESAR NYE!" (with a stoink face)

Ok, when more pictures come to me, i would update it and show you pictures of the fondue. Below is pictures of how both of us got "high" after eating abit too much chocolate.

After Ice-Cream, we sat for awhile at "BONSAI GARDEN". Chit-chat, before we made our way home.

To Fad:
If you feel that its best for you to further your education and pursue your career overseas after you graduate from RP, i would fully encourage you to do so. In arts, i think its best if you can get your exposure outside of local waters. Don't worry about being out of your "comfort zone". I know you'll be able to adapt. Just make sure when you go, you go with the right mindset. I know you can do it. I can't help much but i can give as much moral support as i can. Good luck and all the best k? The only sad thing is that i get to know you only now, and in a few months time, you're going to graduate. But look on the bright side, its nice knowing a person like you, plus, you're a friend of my sister too, and Singapore is a small country. So even after you graduate, can just keep in touch. Stay cheerful and happy always. Hope to have more food galores next time! =)

I've came up with an initial draft of the t-shirt.

Below is the front design.

Just a simple "iban jiwarr" text on the bottom right hand side of the t-shirt.

Below is the back design.

For the back, you can choose to have any text you want.
Try to keep it a between 2 to 3 words.

Clouded visions. Unsure.

Have you ever felt the feeling of being so unsure about something that it just freezes you.

It puts you in a deep thought. A thought that can actually seperate you from reality.

A fog that smears the vision. Not being able to see clearly. Not knowing what is infront. Can't tell if you're heading in the right direction.

Try driving on the highway in a heavy downpour. Wipers becoming of no use, you wished that you could just stop and let the rain ease before you move off again.

But

What if you can't stop?

What if you just got to keep on moving?

What will you do?

Slow down because of the slippery roads? Keep a safe distance so that you have more time to react? Turn on your headlights so that people can see you?

Now lets say its a heavy, slow moving traffic. Would you keep to the fast lane? or would you just stick to the lane where its easier to make an exit turn even if its just slow moving? What if your exit is still way further up ahead?

Perhaps that is just how the world works. Perhaps that is just how life works.

Perhaps one thing somehow represents another.

Put my analogy into a life's perspective.

What do you think you would do?

If you can't to relate it to life, try breaking it down into different parts.

- The heavy downpour

-The useless wipers

and next...

- Slippery roads

- A safe distance

- Turning on the headlights

and also...

- The fast lane

- The slow lane

- the easy exit

Now you try to relate it to life.

I'm sure you'll be able to. If you can't, then don't try too hard.

It will come to you one day.

In life, its never always constant.

The only constant thing in life is...

"CHANGE"

Everyday is a new day.

You'll never know what will happen tomorrow,

or

5 minutes later.

So don't let the moments pass by you just.

Time is indeed precious.

While there is still time,

Do what you have to.

Many down moments. Moments so down that it totally breaks your heart. But, beyond the dark clouds, the sun still shines brightly. Let the wind blow the dark clouds away and the sun will shine again.

Thank you everyone (I.J). Its been a learning experience for me to have been able to work with all of you. Thank you for being there for me too in my dark cloud moments. The hug, the words, i won't forget it. Thank you Faiz, Fai, Wann, Milly, Dan, Nat, Nins, Rosy, Yanie, Yussie.

Lets have fun and let Reflections be a moment we can be proud of.

To my dear friend too. I really thank you so much. I know what you told me at that moment, it really didn't work to cheer me up. At that moment, i just needed to let everything out. But you sat there by my side. Listening patiently. Your presence and your words and how you tried to make me laugh, i really appreciate it so much. But now i know that what you told me at that time when i really just had t breakdown and cry, it all make sense. I know it now. You were the sun trying to shine again. I really don't know how to thank you. I promise you, i'll be stronger. I'll regain my strength. I have to let it go. With you and the rest around, i'm sure i'll regain my strength again in time.

Went to school.

Went to Kenji Dot's practice.

Slept while they practiced.

Almost forgot about W25Q class gathering.

Took a cab to Causeway Point again.

Ate Swensens. Had Chilli Fish Pasta.

Chilled out at the carpark.

Played stupid games.

Met Wa Rocker & RDP @ track.
